LITCHFIELD —
The former finance director of the town of Winchester was sentenced
Friday to 11 years in prison for plundering the town's coffers of millions of
dollars over at least five years.
Henry Centrella served as the town's finance director for nearly
30 years, but police and prosecutors were limited to investigating a five-year
period by the statute of limitations for first-degree larceny.
